All images submitted must be shot on a digital camera, but images taken on a mobile phone will be accepted, so if you don't have a camera at that crucial moment, you can still use your mobile handset to enter.
Submissions will be judged by the BBC Electric Proms team and 125 Magazine (publishers of work by new photographers worldwide) in August and the winner will be announced on Friday 15th September.
BBC Electric Proms Festival Director Lorna Clarke said, "This is a fantastic and unique opportunity for a new, talented photographer to get their teeth into a real-life brief for the BBC Electric Proms. For one lucky person this is a chance to document the first year of this groundbreaking musical event."
