The runners-up in the competition, were:
Sophie Seanes from London, who took her image of two friends at a private karaoke club. Sophie, 34, is a charity fundraiser for an overseas development charity, and in her spare time she runs photography workshops. Her submission was taken on a basic digital camera.
Frank Dickson took his picture at the Fire Festival in Edinburgh in April this year. He works as a picture librarian - and recently joined a photo club to learn more about photography.
Dr. Ben Vincene, 27, is a scientist from Bristol. He got into photography after being contacted by a journalist who saw his work online. He has only been taking photographs for six months on a Nikon D50, but hopes to develop his skills further.
Plus, the final two runners-up were Velerio Berdini, a photographer from Cambridge and Clare Keeley from Macclesfield.
All of the runners up for the Live/Life competition will have their submitted images displayed at the Roundhouse for the duration of BBC Electric Proms and will receive a copy of 125 Magazine.
BBC Electric Proms is a celebration of new and innovative musical styles. It will feature unique live performances from some of the biggest artists performing today as well as appearances from emerging talent too. There is a huge range of activities taking place at BBC Electric Proms including headline performances on the main stage each night, upcoming artists and acoustic sets.
