Well Now You Can! You just need to find the right instrument!
Musiqtrader.co.uk was launched recently, with a concept that is so simple, that it could prove to be vital to the future of the music buying and selling community.
Naimish Gohil, the London-based entrepreneur who set up the site, stated that his purpose was to "create an online service to help the 28 million Brits who want to play an instrument". A place in which to find and buy a musical instrument with minimal hassle, while at the same time allowing existing musicians and dealers of musical equipment to sell second hand or new instruments easily.
Why is it so simple? Well musicians can now find musical instruments advertised locally and nationally from other musicians and music shops! This will help budding musicians to find the instrument they want to play easily and at affordable prices. Hence buying and selling takes place between like-minded musicians and local music shops. In a nutshell, "It's a marketplace which is aimed solely for music lovers," says Gohil.
Gohil added "MusiqTrader isn't a Craigslist or Yell, but we're working towards being a household name for musicians, while at the same time striving to create an environment that will help those with a potential or proven passion for an instrument, to fulfill their dreams".
The site has around 10,000 visitors a month at present and that number is growing at a steady rate. The plan is to launch a dot com version and go multi-lingual by the end of the year.
After piloting in Essex, the site was launched to cover the whole of the UK by August 2006.
This is a small business with big ambitions. So go on, be a MusiqTrader and join the online music community.
