The competition was launched on 20th July 2006 and a public vote was held on the Rhyme4Respect website between 21st and 27th August 2006. A short list of ten entries per supporting artist was then judged by a panel of industry experts who decided which entries had the best lyrics that promote self-respect, positive sexual relationships and safer sex. All of the winning tracks are being released will be or have been released to the media in January 2007, and the collection of tracks will be released as part of a free limited edition Rhyme4Respect album in late January and also downloadable for free from www.rhyme4respect.com and other sites.
