The band that is arguably one of the pop stories of the year release the third single from their critically acclaimed album Room On The Third Floor. Debuting at the coveted Number 1 slot in the album charts, McFly's remarkable album earned the band a place in the Guinness Book Of Records and were honoured with an award as the youngest ever band to debut at Number 1 in the UK, a record formerly held by the legendary Beatles.

McFly have clearly developed a knack for crashing into the charts at Number 1, be it singles or albums. Both previous singles, the captivating 5 Colours In Her Hair and the infectious Obviously, claimed Pole Position in the Hit Parade upon release. That Girl is another astounding tune that is will surely mirror the success of its predecessors. Steeped in the spirit of 60's surf rock n' roll, a style that has become their trademark sound, That Girl is the tale of teenage hankering for a girl that ultimately ends in tears.

Not content with winning swathes of fans with their music on TV and radio, McFly cut their live teeth at a one off gig at the London Barfly the week their album was released, 200 clamouring fans being treated to a precocious set from Tom, Danny, Harry and Dougie. Never ones to bask in small glories, the boys will hit the road with a comprehensive tour of the UK, taking in dates at some of the UK's premier gig venues. Such is the frenzy surrounding the band that within a week of tickets going on sale seven dates of the tour have sold out, prompting the addition of extra dates in Glasgow, Manchester and London, see below for full details:
