Desyn Masiello: ilikemusic because... It saved my life!Colin MacIntyre new single Famous For Being Famous is released through his own Future Gods Recordings label. The single is taken from his current album release The Water that has already won universal critical acclaim. MacIntyre will also shortly confirm a full UK tour for the end of September, including two nights at the London Soho Review Bar, and a return to King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.
Produced by Lemon Jelly's Nick Franglen, Famous For Being Famous combines a satirical take on celebrity culture set to an infectious power pop soundtrack. The single is one of the finest moments of The Water, an eclectic set that includes the sea shanty style title track, the sinister persona of Stalker and a very special spoken word guest appearance by Tony Benn on closing track Pay Attention To The Human. Benn's book of diary entries, More Time For Politics: Diaries 2001-2007, includes a mention of the duo's initial meeting.
ilikemusic has ten copies of the critically acclaimed album The Water to give away!
The previously unreleased tracks on the single's download release will be You & Me Ground Zero and When Losers Become Friends.
