Hed Kandi - Twisted Disco

Twisted Disco's second CD really pushes the envelope featuring some slightly unfamiliar names to the Kandi faithful, stripped back by some Kandi favourites. Opening with glitched vibes that transform into Splittr's anthemic 'All Alone' and the Jay Men's cheeky reworking of a classic on 'Ohh La Lishious' following hard on its heels, the first curveball comes from undisputed heavyweight of grime Dizzee Rascal, whose recent Flex single gets a dance floor work-out from Dave Spoon.

The antipodean electro frontline get in on the act with a Bass Kleph remix of Alex Romano and Hook N Sling adding a fearsome four-to-the-floor edge to The Stanton Warriors party-breaks fare. The über-cool Deadmau5 makes a typically epic contribution as Sandy Riviera cranks it back with throbbing aplomb leading into 'Walking Down The Street', a moment of Ron Carroll genius that shows just why he's a bona-fide legend.

Another cheeky cover version in the form of Peter Gelderblom Vs Dan Parker's take on Colonel Abraham's 'Trapped' adds a familiar feel to proceedings, with Sgt Slick & Pitch Dark Feat. Abigail Bailey, Arno Cost & Norman Doray and super- Swede John Dahlback building things up to the epic crescendo that is Gui Boratto's 'Beautiful Life'. Undoubtedly, one of the coolest records of the moment!
