PJ Harvey releases her new single The Piano through Island Records.

The second single from PJ Harvey's eighth studio album White Chalk, The Piano will be released on download and limited edition 7" vinyl.

The Piano will be backed with Heaven, a song written and recorded in 1988 during one of Harvey's first ever recording sessions.

PJ Harvey's much lauded album White Chalk was released in September this year. Recorded mainly on piano, White Chalk has been described as "a brave and brilliant refocusing of her energies" by Mojo, and as a "haunting mini masterpiece" by the Financial Times.
