Reverend And The Makers Remixed

2007 saw Reverend and The Makers garnering fans from almost every quarter. They achieved gold status with their top 5 album The State Of Things still residing in the top 40, had three hit singles (including 'Heavyweight Champion Of The World') sell out tours and festivals appearances and 2008 promises to be even bigger.

In March 2008, the band have released this highly collectable package of remixes available on vinyl and download. DOWNLOAD HERE

With the album tracks originally produced by the legendary Jagz Kooner, it's little wonder they lend themselves so readily to the remix treatment. Dubmeister Adrian Sherwood has taken the basslines of "Sundown On The Empire" to new depths and really worked Jon's vocal melodies. It's a big summery feel-good mix in a classic Sherwood style.

The Elektrons are in majestic form, taking the cheeky lyrics of "18-30", splicing them with their trademark floor friendly twists, whilst remaining sympathetic to the original. "Machine' gets the full-flow Infadels reworking. A jacking peak time tweaker with breakdowns and old school analogues ricocheting from the outset. It's minimal on vocal, but optimal on impact.

You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.
