As part of the Metro Weekender (together with indie-dance day's Get Loaded in the Park / Cardiff Calling), South West Four Cardiff was also deemed an instant success with all 10,000 tickets being snapped up, as an all-star cast of DJs including Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold and Armin Van Buuren rocked the show. Back in London, Carl Cox and Paul Oakenfold did the double, as Pete Tong, John Digweed and Judge Jules also lead the troops from the front. South West Four picked up 4 nominations at the UK Festival Awards 2006 for Best Medium-To-Large Festival and Best One Day Festival (both London) and Best One Day Festival and Best New Festival (both Cardiff).
