Other bands confirmed this years include Kasabian, The Specials, Calvin Harris, Seasick Steve, Reverend & The Makers, The Enemy and Gallows, The Bays & Twisted Wheel.
I Like Music has a pair of tickets to give away to see Super Furry Animals play at Nation Courtyard on Thursday 5th November as part of Liverpool Music Week 2009! For your chance to win, just answer a simple question!
The Super Furry' are the most creative of the contemporary Welsh bands, and undoubtedly Wales' biggest rock export that manage to successfully blend classic songwriting with often breathtaking experimentation. Causing a quiet revolution cant be easy for the 5 piece but SFA have all but managed it without ever breaking through the musical mainstream, and this unique approach to music is what has kept them at the top of their game. Having released their latest studio album " Dark Days/Light Years" earlier this year, this will be one of the band's first indoor performances of their new material having stated in March that they had "been waiting for the right venue & technology to harness their new 'epic' sound". SFA have specifically chosen Nation's Courtyard for this very special Liverpool Music Week show: their first appearance here since their last sell out tour in 2007.
