We Love Homelands 2004 Review
We Love Homelands... especially Mr Mouth, Faithless, Dilated Peoples, James Zabiela and Roger Sanchez
Yes, we did love Homelands this year, as we do every year. Over 150 performers plus 35,000 music lovers partied the day and night away at We Love Homelands, the first festival of the 2004 summer season.
At Matterley Bowl in Hampshire, thousands of us brushed off our shades (ok, and raincoats), polished our trainers (or pink fluffy boots in some cases), and glossed up ourlips ready to party at the event that, this year, broke all dance music rules with more live music on the menu plus a giant state-of-the-art Hip Hop arena, with dazzling names from the US and the UK including Grandmaster Flash and Jazzy Jeff.
An array of superb DJs and live artists pleased the crowds, who needed a boost as the grey clouds loomed overhead. Since its conception, nearly quarter of a million people have experienced the magic of Homelands, making it the official rites of passage for music lovers everywhere. The last bank holiday in May has now become synonymous with the festival and is the true start to the Summer Ibiza season.

lolo: ilikemusic because... music is where some people display affection, show emotions and actually showing off who they are and their thinking. it is special unlike anything cos it goes out and never comes in back but in others.
Del: ilikemusic because... music is life
Sharleen Spiteri: ilikemusic because... it takes me to places that life can't

simon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
Alison Moyet: ilikemusic because... No one gets to choose mine for me.
