Backdraft Ft. The Ragga Twins - Rock The Mic
The wait is nearly over. The original labrats Backdraft have been in their lair for the last twelve months working hard, sharpening their song writing skills and developing the squelch of their sound, ready for the release of their debut long player to be released in 2009 on Passenger Records.
Backdraft are dynamic break beat duo, Paul Chadwick and Karrie Price. Hailing from Manchester they've been catering for the global dance-floor for almost a decade, churning out massive hits such as the electrifying Labrat amongst numerous others, which went on to become one of the highest selling singles of Passenger's catalogue.
Rock The Mic, the first single taken from their forthcoming album We Know Where You Live! sees them team up with Passenger's own The Ragga Twins for what could well be the pair's finest vocal outings to date! As with all of the Twins' work, the track has a catchy, call and response chorus interspersed with some straight up vocal anarchy that will twist around in your head long after you have returned from the club.
The flipside, Pole Dancer, is pure growling Backdraft madness. Doing the rounds on dubplate for the past few months, this tune has a proven track record of 'doin' da biz on the floor' as it slams you through its varied change ups.
