Once again showcasing Casiokids two distinctive sides, Finn Bikkjen will undoubtedly be a sunset festival favourite - marking day into night, dreamy hankering vocals sit neatly on top of their trademark electro afropop making it a Balearic percussive stomper. Gomur Mamma will keep the more underground clubheads happy - bouncy percussive basement music, eerie melody and distorted bass.
Drawing inspiration from Paul Simon's Graceland, Ivor Cutler, King Tubby, Bob Hund, Cornelius and Fela Kuti, Casiokids are unfolding as one of the bands to watch this summer. If things progress at the current rate, this could well be an essential band for 2009.
Casiokids first single, Grønt lys is alle ledd/Togens hule, was released in October 2008 on Moshi's renowned Singles Club which has also featured singles by Florence and the Machine, Kate Nash and Lykke Li amongst others.
