As well as releasing the second in this series of 'F*** Me I'm Famous' compilations, David and production partner Joachim Garraud also launch the underground house label, F*** Me I'm Famous Records this summer, with releases from Steve Angello ("Who's Who?), DJ Ralph n' Jo and the buzz track 'Infactuation.' The label is an expression of Guetta's moodier side and an avenue for him to make, mix and release the deeper, dirtier tracks he plays out.
Elsewhere, David has had a main-stage DJ set and headlined at Rob Da Bank's Strongbow Rooms at the Homelands Festival, destroying the crowd with his exclusive re-edits and Guetta bootleg versions of rock tracks cut through twisted house and electro. Also confirmed for David's hectic schedule are sets in Fatboy Slim's Southern Fried Arena tent at Creamfields, a peak-time set at Global Gathering and a string of high profile shows across Europe.
And as if that wasn't enough, Guetta has been chosen as the first DJ/producer to present a L'Oréal Paris product: "When L'Oréal approached me I was a little nervous, Beyoncé was in the last campaign and I'm a house DJ, but when they said they wanted to capture what I do in the clubs, I grabbed the opportunity to reach out beyond clubbers and I am also proud to represent club culture's resurgence. It's important to me that dance music touches as many people as possible, however that may happen."
The sound-bed for the advert is David's club smash 'The World Is Mine' which features on his latest original artist album 'Guetta Blaster,' new mixes by Murk and Club 69 will be unleashed imminently.
'F*** Me I'm Famous: Paris, London, Ibiza, Miami' is released on 29th September through Ministry of Sound.page << 1 2 3 >>
