Scott, Thin Lizzy: ilikemusic because... It lets my adrenalin start pumping, it gets aggression out, and sometimes I can actually get emotional with it. There are many reasons why I like music.
Remi Nicole: ilikemusic because... It is the best way of making you feel any emotion.
RejinaReclusive: ilikemusic because... it helps me remember. It helps me forget. It helps me be strong and it makes me cry. Music screams the words I can't say, the feelings I can't express. It makes my heart feel alive.
O'Bailey: ilikemusic because... I can live vicariously through a song, whether it's a screaming angry rock anthem or a silly kids song ("I'm a little yellow fish" anyone?) haha!
Darren: ilikemusic because... It makes me dance like a motherf**ker
Chuck, Simple Plan: ilikemusic because... It was always a way to escape whatever problems I was going through; whatever trouble I had, I could just put on a record or a song and feel better right away and I hope that our music can have the same effect on our fans.
gpm100: ilikemusic because... I just do!!!!!
Steff, Webmaster Musebr.com: ilikemusic because... the shows are very good, we make friends, we jump, and everybody scream so loud, and for a moment we forget all the problems of the world!
DJ Format: ilikemusic because... I was never going to make it as a footballerLet us introduce you to the world of Frankmusik, aka Vincent Frank. A 22-year old St Martins dropout with his music HQ in Croydon and gran as a stylist. A self-taught multi instrumentalist, producer, remixer, talented graphic designer, photographer, video director by default and future music impresario.
Frankmusik's pop music is beamed in from the neon lights and hover-bikes of a dystopian Pacific Rim Metropolis. 'Blade runner pop' is how he describes it and with its rushing synthetic synths and lightspeed vocals, you can imagine Frankmusik performing to replicants in a dive bar in the shadow of the 700-storey Tyrell Corp complex. Speeding along at 145bpm both tracks are under the influence of Frankmusik's misspent youth in the suburbs of South London listening to jungle and drum and bass.
'In Step', conversely, was written in the grip of youthful depression and insecurity. Check out the video...
Vince quit his degree in product design at the London College of Fashion to focus on music, feeling at one point that all he had was 'my computer and my nightlife - I was freaking out'. Like all the best British pop, Frankmusik remodels the dull stuff of everyday experience and machines it into glistening, majestic fantasy - universal emotions in hyper-colours. Producing all his tracks himself, Vince is a new whirlwind force in the accelerated UK pop landscape. He's a fluent self-taught pianist. He's started his own label to put out his debut release, Apparent Records. He's done his own artwork for the release, as well as his own video.
