In the words of The King Blues: music can bring the world together :) On 13th November, the insatiable Housexy team return with their fifth, and biggest, album to date. This time teaming up with legendary Playboy, they unleash a two-CD serving of the hottest in salacious house and steamy, funk-laced beats.
Joining forces with the world's sexiest brand, Playboy, is a match made in heaven for Housexy and, led by their legendary resident Nick Bridges, they bring you a soundtrack to the ultimate party - Hugh Hefner style. Think decadence, gorgeous people, and the hottest, most flirtatious house around.
CD1 kicks off in true Housexy style with the epic 'Are You (Watching Me, Watching You)' by Skye 'N' Sugarstarr, and the pace never lets up. House legends ATFC, Seamus Haji, and Kissdafunk all make appearances, alongside the Freemasons' funk-infused interpretation of soul queen Angie Stone's 'I Wasn't Kidding.' Last, but of course, by no means least, Gallic gigolo Monsieur Guetta and The Egg deliver the inescapable summer anthem 'Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away).'
Leaving barely enough time to refill your cocktail glass, CD2 jumps straight in with the peak-time disco pleasure of Glory Parade's 'Movin Up' before dropping the filtered electro house of Mark Knight's 'The Reason' and the Freemasons' piano strut of 'Rain Down Love'. Soul Central add a bit of disco glamour to Fedde Le Grand's minimal anthem 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit' before Gus Gus draw proceedings to a close with the chunky funk of GusGus' 'Sweetsmoke.'
Housexy's hook-up with Playboy was the result of a long, drawn-out session of cocktails, globe-trotting, and a vintage Versace dress, but the resulting album was well worth the effort! And with a unique cover, featuring an original Playboy image from the October issue of 1968, it is certain to take pride of place on the CD rack.
Alongside their incendiary residency at Ministry of Sound, Housexy are also once again heading on the road, with a series of UK and international tour dates to celebrate the release of the latest compilation.
So on November 13th, be sure to dig out your smoking jacket and bunny ears to enjoy Housexy's sensual 'Sounds of Playboy,' released on Ministry of Sound.
