Lord Skywave - Something - The Remixes

Hot new remixes in for Ex- Simian man and Black Ghosts member Simon Lord's solo song-based electronica album, Lord Skywave.

Following the success of the critically acclaimed Lord Skywave album, released July 2008, This Is Music offer up a fine selection of dance remixes from crunk/ electro star Andy George and the dubstep rebel genius Cosmin Nicolae. For the digital package, former Hot Chip one-man band Grovesnor turns out a killer synth-soul boogie-disco mix, with the effortlessly creative electronic mavericks Various Production delivering a unique rolling 4/4 style cut.

At the helm of one of the most exciting parties to emerge from the past 2 years, Moda, Andy George (as well as his colleague, Jaymo) have crafted a brand that stands for cutting-edge music and sleepless nights. Back in April, Jaymo & Andy became two of the youngest people to ever record a live Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1- quickly catching the attention of the station's bosses. Fast forward four months and the duo have been selected from a long and illustrious list to have their very own show on Radio1, chosen as part of the station's In New DJ's We Trust as they prepare to take their sound global! As a producer, Andy has been responsible for some massive dance-floor bombs- Big Dipper was one of 2008's most popular jump-up electro tracks, finding its way into everyone's boxes, including the Crookers and Kissy Sell Out. Even JFK from Mstrkrft did a re-edit, prompting a flurry of remixes for scene-leaders Lee Mortimer, Toddla T (which George is currently working on) & Jokers Of The Scene.
