Oakenfold Talks Bucks with Pharrell
October sees the release of Sex 'N Money - Oakenfold's second single from his current studio album A Lively Mind. The track is already creating waves - riding high in the Cool Cuts Charts.
This stand out track follows suit of A List guests on the album as it features vocals by modern hip-hop great Pharrell Williams (previous single Faster Kill Pussycat featured Brittany Murphy). Inspired by the four years Oakenfold has been based in LA - the track gives an insight to the 'sincerity' rife in Hollywood nightlife!

Comments Oakenfold,
"It's a song about how soulless the Hollywood party scene can be. I've been in situations where people are introduced and then someone spots a celebrity, standing nearby, and they disappear, literally mid sentence.
So the track is really Hollywood in a nutshell for me - as in it's all about sex and money. We deconstructed our original track and rewrote it for Pharrell, in a way that's melodic and hypnotic and just keeps coming back at you in waves."
The record has been given the remix treatment from Benny Banassi, UK phenomena Nat Monday and Kenneth Thomas and an animated promo is in development.
Oakenfold's Sex 'N Money is released 30th October on Perfecto Records
The album A Lively Mind by Oakenfold is out now also on Perfecto Records
Oakenfold previous release Faster Kill Pussycat featured guest vocalist Brittany Murphy and reached number 7 in the Official UK Charts and number 1 in the Cool Cuts, The Upfront Club and DMC Club Charts.
