In Sneaky's native Australia, I Love It holds the record for the longest charting single in Australian history at 73 weeks. In the UK, the single release follows the Radio 1 B-listed single UFO, which was also made the station's Weekend Anthem and led to the band performing a session for Zane Lowe.
And for you dance fans out there, Sneaky have enlisted 5 remix heavyweights for some tasty remixes… French legend Fred Falke serves up an unadulterated electro funk pop monster, whilst Kenny Hayes provides a lush melodic house number… very uplifting.
Fellow Aussies, Bag Raiders retain the electro flavour with sprinkles of disco nuggets, lots of bleeps and a relentless noodly synth. Kitsune's Beni goes heavy on the bass whilst retaining the vocal; very 80s-infused and a lot moodier than its predecessors, no frills here... Prepare yourself for the Clubstar mix - a fast and furious (and rather bouncy) hard trance number! So, something to suit all tastes…
In the second week of March, Sneaky Sound System headline four massive UK dates finishing with London's Shepherds Bush Empire on 11 March, 2009. The new live date follows three sold-out London shows for Sneaky Sound System in 2008, including Koko in November. The band was also Sam Sparro's special guests on his recent UK tour and performed alongside Get Cape, Wear Cape Fly on the Skins Tour.
Live dates for March 2009:
Sunday 8 March - Glasgow Small Arches
Monday 9 March - Birmingham Bar Academy
Tuesday 10 March - Manchester Academy 3
Wednesday 11 March - London Shepherds Bush Empire
With a triple-platinum selling debut album, a second album currently at the top of the Australian charts and gaining some serious momentum worldwide, it's no wonder that Sneaky Sound System have been one of the most sought after acts of 2008.
