Visionary Underground - Fired Up

These Dayz - This tune documents current affairs and brings to light personal struggles, from grass roots to global contamination. Lack of opportunity and a feeling that the world owes you createshardship, haters, anarchy and lack of respect, all of which sadly, are prevalent in today's society and seem to dictate the consciousness of so many minds.

Previous VU Recordings have been well received by the Club Scene/DJ's, and have had very good press and radio. Eye Of The Storm was picked up by MTV's Party Hard, and Militant 24- 7 from KTGO, was chosen as TV title music for BBC2's Asian arts and culture programme Desi DNA. A selection of VU tracks have also found their way onto several compilations, including FabricLive 15 (mixed by Nitin Sawhney) and Peace Not War Vol II.

VU have always embraced Internet technology and acknowledge it as a powerful tool that has taken their music to a global audience. They have given away many MP3 downloads from their website. As they say, "It's a good way of introducing people to our sound and it's a way of giving something back to all those who've supported us and are interested in our ideology".

Over the past five years VU have worked with and remixed for a host of artists including: Asian Dub Foundation feat. Sinead O'Connor, Nitin Sawhney, Aref Durvesh (Tabla maestro), Chandru (Bollywoodstrings.com), Pandit Dinesh (Tabla and percussion guru), MC Navigator (Freestylers) & Sonia Mehta (Indian vocalist).

Bursting with energy and optimism, Fired Up is a rallying cry to people to get active and respond more to the problems we're facing in society - both on the dancefloor…and beyond.page << 1 2 3 >>
