Vitalic - Poison Lips

Pascal Arbez-Nicolas, aka Vitalic, may have been laying low since he unleashed the untrammelled might of the classic OK Cowboy LP in 2005, but he certainly has been anything but idle. Indeed, from the sounds of his critically lauded new LP Flashmob, it sounds like he has been sharpening his skills to a knife edge, honing his instincts for a killer melody and equally potent beats, and basically kicking his whole enterprise up several notches or so.

Poison Lips, the second single from the record (following the equally propulsive and aptly titled Disco Terminateur EP) is a stormer of an electro pop song that encapsulates perfectly the new phase of Vitalic - a little leaner, a little meaner, but lightly dusted with some gorgeously sultry, breathy female vocals to lend the whole affair an air of debauched glamour and mystery. Just another feather in Vitalic's already overstuffed cap, and another example of why good things come to those who wait.

Upcoming 2009 live date
November 28 - matter, London
