In Yousef’s words, track by track break down of ‘Yousef - Friends’

Yousef and Blackkat - 'Chords and Rubbing'
This track was produced two years ago on one of the rare occasions Mark and I got into the studio together. He introduced me to the concept on minimal drums. I feel this track is quirky and soulful yet thumping enough for Carl Cox to play it (which he did at space at his party). It's aged well this one.

Yousef and Steve Mac - 'Circus Parade' (Re Editz)
This is a re edit of one of my most successful tracks to date. I still feel this simple yet effective club party track could go far with the right push. Steve is great mate and when we have worked together we bounce off each other really comfortably (make of that what you will.). In this version I ran a loop through a vocoder to get the warped filter effect. It still gets a lot attention.

Yousef and Gene Farris - 'Da Number 8'
This was done on my first visit to see Gene in Amsterdam just after he moved there. I was expecting to do some jackin' chi town beats but instead we did a moody acid rock track? Gene is so chilled, he's happy to go in any natural musical direction.
