I Like Music Because heading
  • Jo WhileyJo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.

Global Gathering A Success

James Algate sums it up by saying: "It was an ambitious undertaking moving to two days with camping but we wanted to take our festival to another level and give our guests a completely new dance festival experience. The fact it sold out says it all. The DJs and bands did an incredible job and not one of the arenas wasn't busy. Special thanks have to go to Radio 1 who did an excellent job of broadcasting the event live as well as the local police and council who made sure the event was safe and secure."

And finally, it was if God himself was looking kindly on the event organised by the people who named themselves after his kitchen. The weather everywhere else was appaling and by some miracle it held off. Thunder clouds hovered around the site but skirted neatly around it protecting the party people from a good soaking.

But, it didn't end there. The inaugural Irish Global Gathering took place on Sunday afternoon in Cork and was also a sell out. A private plane jetted the headliners across the irish sea from Birmingham on Sunday morning for a giant carry on, play to another massive crowd and another night of unforgettable atmosphere.

2006 will see Global Gathering truly fulfil its namesake and expand around the world. Events are being planned to take place in the USA, Canada as well as the UK and Ireland following on from this year's incredibly success. From now on there's no doubt that Godskitchen are the undisputed King of Clubs.page << 1 2 3 4 5 >>
