Could this song possibly sound any more like a take-away parcel of summertime goodness? Woo! We love this! Start off your road trip playlists and get driving to the nearest field / beach / tropical island / pool party...OK. Tropical island and pool party are a bit of a shot in the dark these days, but if you turn this ultimate summer anthem up loud enough, we guarantee all cobwebs will melt into a hazy swirl of heart shaped sunglasses and disco-led funk outs.
The track was actually released in March this year, and after heaps of support from bloggers and DJs, Breakbot, the newest recruit to Ed Banger Records, steps up for a re-release of Baby I’m Yours on limited edition 10” vinyl, packaged with an Aeroplane Remix B-Side.
Accompanied by the handmade video below, we’re truly smitten! Irena Dakeva created the video with over 2000 individual watercolour paintings (gulp!). Here’s what Irena and Breakbot had to say;
“We wanted to do something with a hand made feeling, as a reaction to all the computer graphics that we see everyday on TV. We thought it would be more appropriate to the song, which is kind of retro. And of course I always loved traditional animation. There's a lot of music videos that I really love, for example ‘Can You Feel It’ by the Jacksons always makes me smile. Irina and I really love the Lucy in the Sky sequence in the Yellow Submarine video, and it was obviously a very good reference in terms of colors and graphics.”
