Hervé's 2008 founded label Cheap Thrills has become one of the largest dance outputs around, combining bass heavy electro beats awash with dancefloor chic. His ability to provide a direct shot of dance-able all night action appeals to a wide cross section of clubbers and fashionistas alike, resulting in Cheap Thrills Vol. 1 charting as the number one iTunes European compilation of the year in 2009. Mainstream appeal aside, Cheap Thrills Vol. 2 follows in similar footsteps. Though no new territory is explored to great depths, the compilation easily lives up to expectations.
The recent disco explosion does not go unnoticed with dizzy cocktails of synth drenched, glitter ball bass arriving through Fake Blood's I Think I Like It, Voodoo Chilli's Love Songs and Rufio ft Herve's Hot Rod. Nods toward big-room 90's rave come in the form of Lone's Pineapple Crush, while new Cheap Thrills signing Baxta ticks the all important dubstep check box.
