UK producer and DJ Max Sedgley has hooked up with Tor Cesay to release new single Sound Boy. Providing in your face rhymes, Tor Cesay easily takes the limelight...She’s worked with some big names to date including producers Rashard Smith (Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Nas, Biggie) and UK super producer DJ Mentat (Roots Manuva, Skinnyman), released the huge single Going Home featuring Envy and dropped her compilation Beatz International in January 2009. Intent on taking her street level roots to new heights, Tor Cesay has performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra and continues to push every boundary that crosses her path...her debut album is due this year - www.myspace.com/toruk
Though this track seems like a familiar footprint in the history of grime, Max Sedgley takes production duties into a new realm, with a tight disco synth pushed into a minor key and clean cut beats jarring with an expansive bass-line. Former drummer for Roni Size, Max is responsible for the huge 2003 global club classic Happy. He recently released new album Suddenly Everything, with Sound Boy featuring Tor Cesay sitting comfortably at track three – the album is a journey through trip hop, breaks, grime and dnb – http://www.myspace.com/maxsedgley
