Australian production duo The Aston Shuffle have been making waves in their home-country for several years now with a series of very well-received singles and remixes. Their latest release, Your Love, is the first single to be taken from the pair’s forthcoming debut artist album, as yet without name or release date.
A breezy blast of electro-house, Your Love is built around the interplay between a bed of funky bass, a simple synth melody and breathy female vocals. The three elements circle around each other as a four-four beat pumps underneath them, each one taking it in turn to come to the fore as the track progresses. The tune comes on as a laid-back take on JUSTICE with the pop-sensibility magnified, making for a very carefree vibe that conjures the feeling of summer even in these dark months. The video is equally as fun, with its simple but eye-catching animation reflecting the cheerful excitability of the music.
