As both bands perform in the space of a week it was time to revisit who was the true winner of the infamous 'Battle of the Bands' In August 1995, the epic chart sing-off between the two ended with Blur's Country House winning the 'battle of Britpop', outselling Oasis's Roll With It. However, 14 years on, official figures from PRS for Music reveal that Oasis's songs are now the most listened to out of the two.
The unique results are based on the number of plays the bands and their songs have had in the UK. Overall winner is Oasis' Wonderwall which captured 68% of all plays.

Steve Porter, Chief Executive PRS for Music, said: "With Blur performing some storming gigs and Oasis' back on tour it's like the heyday of Britpop once again. These new figures showing that despite Blur winning the original battle, Oasis wins long term by number of plays. However with both bands still working and their music being widely played the battle continues."
