The UK Current TV launched last March on Sky Channel 193 and is one of ilikemusic's personal favourite channels. It's interesting, relevant and different.
I Like Music caught up with members of Current TV's music team, Deanna Cohen and Davis Powers to find out more about the network's music programming, the artists they feature and their audience.
Current TV has been a great platform in breaking and supporting some great non-mainstream bands as well as giving artists a voice whilst the writers strike is on.
"I Like Music because.... it's been the soundtrack to some of the most important events and experiences in my life." DEANNE COHEN, CURRENT TV
ILM: What are the future plans for Current TV's music programming?
DEANNA: What we're looking to do in both the US and the UK is really make sure that when we present music, we're presenting music in a way that you wouldn't see or experience anywhere else, so really in-depth profile views into artists that go beyond a passion for music, so whatever informs then as a person and artist because their audience is into that.
