DAVIS: The Current Playlist is a home to great music stories, not just 'hey this a new artist that you should know' but 'this is great music and a great story. It houses what our viewers think are relevant music and our filmic community has relationships with artists so they submit bands who come into our pipeline, so it's where our audience is making a statement about music, we're giving them that platform
Out of that is the Current Fix which is a franchise and the home to the best new music, which is more rock journalism, by Douglas Caballero and Alex Simmons. It includes real hits like Douglas dancing on stage with The Flaming Lips and doing the first ever TV interview with The Silversun Pickups. Those guys right now are in Philidelphia with Duplo who are showing them around their studio and round Philidelphia for a documentary on the sounds of America. So those guys are always on the move so trying to find the next thing.
