Driving To Music

ADVERTISEMENT FEATURE

Of course, some artists don't drive. Many are driven round, be it in a tour bus or people carrier. Lead singer from The Coral, James Skelly, is one such artist. "I don't drive," admits James. "But… if I did, I'd play The Yardbirds in my car."

Pop stunner Sophie Ellis-Bextor GRRR, likes to use her time in the car to get better acquainted with her chosen music, to connect with it.

"I tend to use driving as a good time to really listen to albums properly," says Sophie. "With MP3 players, you get very spoilt and listen to the tracks you know and are familiar with, so listen to singles over and over. That's why, when I'm driving, I tend to listen to a lot of new stuff. You can just sit back and listen to a whole album without flicking through each track. Today I was listening to Bjork's new album."
