Hard-Fi: ilikemusic because... what else is there to like?!
robbie: ilikemusic because... my friends say its cool
O'Bailey: ilikemusic because... I can live vicariously through a song, whether it's a screaming angry rock anthem or a silly kids song ("I'm a little yellow fish" anyone?) haha!
Robyn: ilikemusic because... It’s the way I want to express myself. It’s not a choice. It’s just always been there. It’s just what I do.
Master Gee: ilikemusic because... It gives me an opportunity to truly express myself, unlike what happens in an everyday living situation where there are restrictions on you and limitations on you and demands on you and bills to pay, through music I can truly be comfortable with who I am, and do what I really want to do and say what I really want to say.
Sarah Christine: ilikemusic because... Music is like a puzzle. Each peice by itself is unique and looks like no other puzzle peice, but when you put it all together, you expeirience a completely different picture. It's on an almost daily basis that I find myself getting lost in my music, and I love it!
Steve, Hard-Fi: ilikemusic because... Life is not worth living without it. Everything else could disappear, but music is the one thing that always remains with me throughout my entire life.
steven bance: ilikemusic becaucse... it produses feelings of utopia.
Alfonso, The Hoosiers: ilikemusic because... Because, because, because, because, because of the wonderful things he does… I’m off to see the wizard…[singing] the wonderful wizard of oz…
"I tend to listen to Tom Waits of an evening; Tom Waits, last thing at night, when you're driving back from something or Elliot Smith. I've been listening to a lot of Sonic Youth lately. Actually Beck, Sea Change is a good album to drive to when you're driving back from something, that's a really cool album, quite moody. It depends what mood you're in at the time. It's never any kind of hardcore trance though."
"I Like Music because… it's a great healer." SCOTT MATTHEWS
It's not only driving, but we tend to listen to music to reflect and tune into our mood or, indeed, to set and influence our mood while we are thinking or getting active …
"I've got a running playlist, people like Gwen Stefani, R Kelly and Justin Timberlake," explains ex-Ash Guitarist, Charlotte Hatherley. "But, when I'm sitting around in the van driving places, I'll put on something more melancholy, so I listen to lots of Scott Walker and some classical music. It's more instrumental stuff when I'm driving and I have a notebook that I write down lyrical ideas in when I'm in reflective mode."
