Introducing Misty Miller

Misty Miller

Given the mainstream’s recent obsession with young stars* and pop songs played on folky instruments, Misty Miller might just be the perfect storm. At 16 years old Misty has already released her debut, self-titled, album, which she wrote herself on her ukulele before fleshing it out in the studio with a more minimal take on the sort of arrangements that Mumford & Sons or Eliza Doolittle might crack out. Granted, every now and then her lyrics betray her age, but with a voice that boasts the same innocent vigour that could be found on Laura Marling’s debut she charms her way out of such slips with ease.

We think Misty has an extremely bright future ahead of her, check out this video of her performing a solo version of her song Wild Thing…
