Is Free The Future?

Vision was a freestyle music conference held in New York to explore the future of music, piracy and creative collaboration. Matt Mason is the author of The Pirate's Dilemma, he led a session at Vision addressing one of the biggest issues surrounding the music industry today. He opened the session with a half hour presentation that is summarised below:

After The Revolution Is Free The Future? One of the major themes for the music industry debated at GFC Vision.

When the Vision sessions were being planned Miller Genuine Draft canvassed the newly formed GFC to find out what topics were most likely to provoke debate and what issues were affecting its members in their own countries. Piracy is not a new problem but it's one which all of the GFC members expressed strong opinions on and one that's affecting GFC members in many different ways.

After the Revolution is Free the Future - a synopsis

How are pirate DJs, who kick started commercial radio in the twentieth century, changing society in the 21st? How was America founded by pirates? And how does piracy drive innovation and social change?
