Jack Johnson - A Broke Down Melody Soundtrack and DVD

In addition to previously unreleased material from Jack Johnson, an eclectic lineup of musicians was enlisted to provide a narrative for the visual journey that takes the viewer from Jamaica, to the outer Islands of Indonesia, to deep Mexico and all the way down to the bottom of Chile.

The soundtrack includes 2 new tracks from Jack Johnson as well as an acoustic version of the track "Breakdown". Orange County born singer-songwriter Matt Costa blends melodic guitar riffs and irresistible lyrics in his new track The Road, and joins Jack Johnson and label-mate Zach Gill (from ALO) on the track Let It Be Sung. Other highlights include an unreleased stripped down song by Eddie Vedder and tracks from Kings of Convenience, The Beta Band, M. Ward, Doug Martsch and many others.

It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.
