I Like Music Because heading
  • JunJun: ilikemusic because... music can convey a mood, enhance a mood or change a mood. Music can be used to inspire and the artform is simple yet complicated. It's fun to listen to and even more fun to create and perform. It speaks when just a simple word can't. It's a blessing!!

  • Leon Jean-MarieLeon Jean-Marie: ilikemusic because... It transcends. It really creates emotion with someone. That feeling it gives you, it goes through boundaries. To create something, it just breaks through all the walls. When you connect with a song, that is it, that is magic isn't it?
  • simon f bakersimon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
  • Rob XRob X: ilikemusic because... it puts me in the mood...for anything i feel like!
  • fiorellafiorella: me gusta la musica porque es super
  • Rob CremonaRob Cremona: ilikemusic because... Cool laid back soul, atmospheric instrumentals and the occasional gospel choirs to lift my soul.
  • Kevin MichaelKevin Michael: ilikemusic because... I’ve been singing my entire life. I cannot go without listening to it or singing for a day. I wake up to it, I go to sleep to it, I am music.
  • Alfonso, The HoosiersAlfonso, The Hoosiers: ilikemusic because... Because, because, because, because, because of the wonderful things he does… I’m off to see the wizard…[singing] the wonderful wizard of oz…

Lamb Of God Live Review

The crushing force that is the Defenders of the Faith tour (co-headlined by metal heroes Lamb Of God) rolled in to London's Brixton Academy this Valentine's Day. Sejal Davé decided to dust off her New Rocks and check out the metal massacre…

Lamb Of God are often considered to be one of the leading bands of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia this Grammy award nominated band first burst on to the metal scene with the success of 2004's Ashes of the Wake and have continued bringing us some pure, unadulterated metal.

Playing sold-out shows across the country, the band are coming to the end of an intense tour, just in time to release their latest album, Wrath, on February 23rd 2009 via Roadrunner Records. Playing several new songs, including Contractor and The Passing, the new record is definitely set to be one of Lamb Of God's finest and a must-own for any fan.

The sheer energy that Lamb Of God emanate on stage is astounding. Opening the set with old favourites such as Hourglass, Laid To Rest and Walk With Me In Hell, it was near impossible not to pay attention. It's always good to see a band enjoying themselves on stage.

And their enthusiasm was certainly infectious. It's not often you see a mosh pit that engulfs half of Brixton Academy! With the audience being warmed up by the likes of Dimmu Borgir, Five Finger Death Punch and Unearth, the adrenaline was at an all-time high by the time Lamb Of God appeared through the mist.

Beginning on April 2nd 2009, Lamb of God will be headlining the No Fear Energy Tour, with support from Children Of Bodom and As I Lay Dying. Currently at the top of their game, the band are not resting on their laurels. Will the carnage never end? We hope not! Rock on, guys.
