Reverend And The Makers - Jon McClure's Blog on the state of things in the music industry

I was naive when i first entered the music industry but now i'm forming a clear concept in my mind of what it is i stand for and what i mean to say. I mean to stand for the peace and love and posiive things and to stand apart from fashionista trends. Being attached to a trend by it's very nature means when it goes you go with it.

My heroes are Bob Marley, Lenny Bruce, Joe Strummer, John Lennon and Muhammed Ali. Lions who were never afraid to say what it is they felt was the truth no matter what the critics say. A critic by nature is there to criticise surely?

Where are our lions? In the most turbulent times in living history, where we risk being blown up each day, the ice caps melt, people get hammered and fight each other every saturday, we're at war in countries we have no business in, whilst the real evil continues unchecked in Zimbabwe and in Burma etc. I ask you which other arist has dared to speak the truth.
