Wendy James Biography

Wendy flew to L.A to ask M.C.A to release her from the label . they didn't want to, instead they struck a deal . switch to Geffen instead (part of Universal). Staying at the Sunset Marquis she bumps into Pete Thomas, the drummer from Elvis Costello and the Attractions. They talk . Wendy tells him 'no-one really knows this yet but T.V.V has split . do you think Elvis would do something .' Pete said 'I'll ask him' .

Elvis wrote an album for Wendy. 'Now ain't the time for your Tears'. Geffen went crazy for it, hired Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones) to produce, Bob Dylans' band to play, with Pete Thomas on drums as Elvis's envoy.
