Elton John and Pharell join Concert For Diana line-up
Princes William and Harry have announced two events to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. On what would have been the Princess's 46th birthday, July 1st, 2007, a "Concert for Diana" will be held at Wembley Stadium featuring performances from some of Princess Diana's favourite artists, including Elton John, Duran Duran, Bryan Ferry and Andrew Lloyd Webber, plus some the Princes favour including Pharrell, Joss Stone
Princess Diana's 'boys' want the occasion to be "full of fun and happiness" and will be curating the event themselves.
Following the Concert For Diana, on August 31, a memorial service will be held in London marking the date Diana and Dodi Fayed were killed in Paris.
The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and Diana's sisters and brother will attend the service, including Earl Spencer.
Prince William said of the tribute concert for his mother,
"We both wanted to put our stamp on it. We want it to represent exactly what our mother would have wanted; how she was and all that sort of thing. So therefore the church service alone isn't enough.
