Reading & Leeds 09 BBC Introducing Line Up

Festival Republic have announced the line up for the BBC Introducing stages at the Reading & Leeds Festivals 2009. Following its successful debut last year the BBC Introducing stage will once again be a feature of both festival sites showcasing up and coming artists and bands from around the UK, from Friday 28 August - Sunday 30 August.

The bands that play the stage are chosen through a combination of the BBC's countrywide Introducing shows, Leeds promoters Futuresound and promoters Festival Republic. Following a massively successful debut last year, the BBC Introducing Stage is the place to see the potential headliners of tomorrow.

The Reading and Leeds Festival has a long history of being the starting point of some of rock n roll's greatest stories. Whether Nirvana's first UK festival performance, small stage debuts for Muse, Coldplay, Elbow and a host of others and, with the BBC Introducing Stage, record deals for General Fiasco and Sky Larkin following their inclusion on the line-up, Reading and Leeds Festival is about both the biggest headliners and the best emerging new talent.

The bands performing on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds 2009 are as follows - bands will perform at both venues:
