One of the fastest growing and burgeoning festivals in the UK this year, Standon Calling Festival have just announced another very groovey wave of artists for this years space.
After a relentless touring schedule, a hook up with super producer Mark Ronson and a criticailly acclaimed 2007 debut with Girls and Weather, The Rumble Strips make a welcome return, previewing new material from their forthcoming second album Welcome to The Walk Alone at this year's Standon Calling festival. It seems like a space age ago since The Rumble Strips first burst onto the music scene, when their debut track Motorcycle did the rounds in the Charts and across the internet in 2005. After the huge repsonse of the first album, it comes as no suprise that the band have become a household name in the UK indie scene, and a quintessential, recognisable British favourtite - the festival welcomes these jaunty, 60's rock-soul scallies back with open arms.
