WOMAD 2009

WOMAD Festival 24-26 July 2009
Charlton Park, Malmesbury, Wiltshire

The leading world music festival, WOMAD, returns this summer to Charlton Park in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, from 24 to 26 July 2009. Promising another year of exciting and diverse new music, arts and dance from across the globe, the 27th WOMAD Festival will be one of the best family events in the UK this summer.

The WOMAD Festival experience is not about the familiar, the tried and tested; its essence is in the discovery and enjoyment of a totally unexpected artist or a style of music which would never otherwise have been encountered. It's a magical, musical melting pot, enriching all who experience it.

Over the past three decades, WOMAD has presented literally thousands of artists from more than one hundred countries and nationalities.

Tickets are on sale now. WOMAD is pleased to announce it will not be increasing its ticket prices for 2009 and all children 13 years old and under are absolutely free if accompanied by an adult ticket buyer. New for 2009 are the 'Teenager Tickets' which are available for 14 and 17 year olds. Also, 'Park & Camp' tickets will allow festival goers to park their vehicles next to their campsites.
