Carlsberg Announce The Top Ten Best Artists To Have A Pint With At Glastonbury

Carlsberg, Official Beer of Glastonbury, have announced the results of two polls to find out whom music fans would most like to have a pint with at Glastonbury this year and in years gone by. The results show a dead heat between English singer-songwriter James Blunt and Brooklyn born hip hop impresario, Jay-Z for 2008, while Robbie Williams pipped Oasis to the title of best person to share a pint with from years of Glastonbury past.

Blunt topped the list voted on by girls in 2008 and Jay-Z was voted clear favourite with the boys. Overall there was nothing in it when the votes were combined and Jay-Z and Blunt were the clear favourites ahead of well known party loving musicians such as Pete Doherty, The Gossip and The Fratellis">Fratellis.

Also featured around the top of the list were The Verve who came in 3rd place and Mark Ronson who finished 4th. 6% of those surveyed said that they would walk 500 miles to have a pint with Caledonian crooners The Proclaimers who finished in 5th place.

Upon hearing the good news James Blunt commented: "Pork Scratchings and a game of darts with Jay-Z! I'm buying!"
