DJ Andres Cervero Chats To I Like Music
ILM: Well, hopefully the weather will hold out...
Andres: Yeah! It's going to be amazing, there's going to be blazing sunshine! No wellies!
ILM: Awesome. So it is a brilliant idea with the Jazz World. There isn't going to be a single moment where there isn't music coming out of that stage! What tunes will you be playing? What can we expect if we come along to see you?
Andres: For late night party time I play Latin and Funky House. In the day time I'll play more mellow things like soul, funk, bossa nova, samba, salsa. Everything I do has quite a strong Latin vibe. My family come from Venezuela, so my roots have a Latino base. Raised in England I'm quite into electronica and house but, even when I stray away from the Latin, it is always there in some form. For the Thursday night, because I am coming on straight after a Samba band, I think it is going to be quite high energy, so I'll be smashing out some Funky House straight away!

simon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
O'Bailey: ilikemusic because... I can live vicariously through a song, whether it's a screaming angry rock anthem or a silly kids song ("I'm a little yellow fish" anyone?) haha!
Newton Faulkner: ilikemusic because... I’m absolutely rubbish at everything else.
Riot! Traffic: ilikemusic because... music is LiFe...and more than...
Demi: ilikemusic because... Girl's love music.
Craig David: ilikemusic because... It’s all me
Jay Sean: ilikemusic because... It’s the soundtrack to my life.
Jo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.
