Festival Guide With a Twist from TheSite.org

Planning on taking on festivals this summer? There's more to think about than music! Check out a new festival guide launched by TheSite.org, for all you need to know to make your festival season sensational.

Whether you're a festival virgin or a seasoned pro, TheSite.org (the online guide to life for 16-24 year-olds) has advice on everything from how to pull at a festival to where to turn in a crisis. There is also information about camping and packing, plus hints and tips about how to get into festivals for free.

TheSite.org Editorial Manager, Olly Benson, says: "Festivals are crazy. You see things that just wouldn't happen at a gig or on your average night out, and that's what's so great about them. But if you're planning on going to any festival for the first time, get some idea of what it is you're letting yourself in for. The straight talking advice on TheSite.org can help make your festival experience unforgettable, not something you wish you could forget."

Some top tips from TheSite.org experts include:

• Camp safely - not everyone at a festival follows the whole hippy respect-one-another line. Some people are there for thieving alone, but with a bit of common sense and careful planning, you should be fine

• Be kind to your body - Tequila for breakfast? Booze might feature at your festival as much as music and bad falafels, but if you're planning a three-day bender, at least give your body the chance to cope with it.

• Dress for the occasion - You may be tempted to dress in your newest, bestest, sexiest clothes on the off-chance you get to cop off with a star, but you'll be crying all the way home when the mud has ruined it all.
