I Like Music Investigates: Festivals for The Bands, DJ's and Musicians
Festivals are great for many reasons, but the thing that drags us all there, tents, sleeping bags and box wine in tow, is the music. Whether you're sat on a blanket listening to chilled out accoustic vibes or reaching for the lasers with your new best friends til five in the morning, the guitars, the bass lines and the songs you know every word to, are the cement that hold the festival bricks together.
We all have our own festival memories and we all know a festival that seems to get the balance between music and atmosphere completely right. But what about the performers? With more than 200 Music Festivals taking place in the UK alone this year, the artists providing the entertainment find themselves wearing enough wristbands at the end of the summer to make their very own patch work festival quilt. As a result they become a dishevelled, slightly muddy, but smiling bunch of festival gurus. I Like Music caught up with some of the best DJ's, bands and artists to ask them two very important questions.
