Lounge on the Farm 2008
If you are looking for somewhere to chill out at Lounge on the Farm look no further than the Farm Folk stage. This stage has it's own bar and a vast array of comfy seats for punters to park up and relax the day away with a glass of Kentish cider and listen to chilled out, folkie tunes. New to this stage is Brazilian songstress Cibelle who's husky, fragile sound is a treat for everyone's ears. Adding to the Sunday sunshine will be 1965 Records new signing - country music maverick Larry Jon Wilson all the way from Tennessee to ignite the toe tapping. Another musical rebel Tom Hingley, of Inspiral Carpets fame, will also be playing an acoustic set at Farm Folk. Other folk inspired offerings come courtesy of Ralfe Band, Pete Greenwood, Burning Leaves, Smoke Fairies and Island Line.
The Furthur stage is home to all those musical gems that are genre defying and over the weekend will pay homage to all that is experimental. Canterbury's very own jazz outfit The Quartet and psychedelic, fusion band Syd Arthur will be rubbing shoulders with experimentalist hot newcomers and talk of the town Cats in Paris. Whilst the delectable sounds of The Moon Music Orchestra (not actually an orchestra oddly enough) will be wooing the Lounge on the Farm crowds. Keeping things teetering on the edge of normality 12-piece afro beat, funk band Café Crème at Les Freres Smith are flying into the festival from gay Paris and not to be out done psychedelic rockers Wolf People and Diagonal and multi instrumentalist, Eddie Parker will also be taking to the Furthur Stage.
