The Moor Music Festival - 7,8,9th August 2008

Artists confirmed so far for the MoorLive stage, where many flock to see some of the best local and national new bands around, include Sheffield five piece 'The Long Blondes' who have just released their second album 'Couples'; 'iForward Russia!' who are currently touring throughout Europe; MobileAct Unsigned reluctant runners up 'Hijack Oscar'; singer/songwriter Pete Molinari, a regular on BBC Radio Two and 'The Grammatics', who recently featured on a Live session for Huw Stevens on Radio 1.

Completely unique to The Moor Music Festival, and one of the most popular places to hang out, is the Earl Hickey Tribute Lounge which this year will be extending its music loving arms to encompass world music as well as its usual acoustic, folk and soft electro flavours. This year artists include Mickey P Kerr who has been known to mix in some comedy and hip hop with his folk pop sound; 'Dr Butler's Hatstand Medicine Band', a group known for their 'eclectic rags and reels' and Dan Deacon, coming over especially to join from the US and described by CityPaper as being 'part vaudeville ham, part electronica genius; turning every show into a wild ride".
