This is probably my favourite song. I have met many DJs and musicians for whom this is also their favourite song. Refreshingly, we never need to describe to each other why it's so good. I first heard it when I watched the Stop Making Sense film and I was instantly in love.

I hate writing about music; whatever you say, it is never adequate and especially useless when talking about an entire album. So I'll just mention this Gang Gang Dance album as its the most recent album I have purchased and I really love it. I first listened to it driving though L.A. which I'm sure is as good a place as any to experience new sounds. The first track is particularly impressive: 11 minutes of future. And also the track called Romance Layers which sounds the kind of funk band I always wanted to play in.

The first time I saw this I finally understood why people thought boy bands were a good idea. This is the best though; no better routine and video out there in my opinion. I also love the song and the production-style of that era has always been an inspiration to me. You can hear all the elements perfectly and there is a real warmth to the sound. I don't mean this ironically at all. The bucket of water, hair-flick is a pretty special moment.
